Community Service

Giving back

Cornell has long embraced a philosophy of giving back to the community and encourages our students to get involved in community service.

The Cornell Public Service Center offers community partners and employers various ways to hire students who are interested in giving back to the community and making a difference in peoples’ lives and the Ithaca community. These opportunities include the Community Work-Study Program, which enables Cornell Federal Work-Study students to work for nonprofit organizations, schools, and municipalities in the Ithaca and Tompkins County region.
